My 86-year-old father has had prostate problems for years but ignored many of the signs that he should seek medical attention until it was almost to late. At the recommendation of our family nurse and friend we met with Dr Katherine Henríquez.
She treated my father for several months, through several bad catheter infections, making emergency home visits as well as attending him during hospital and emergency room stays.
After several months of this, she felt he was a candidate for Transurethral Resection of Prostrate (TURP). My father was reluctant to pursue this surgery but was so impressed by Dr Henríquez that he acquiesced.
She is hands-down one of the best medical doctors we have experienced. Her demeanor and bedside manner is calm, positive, thorough, attentive, flexible, and personal. In addition she is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated.
Surgery was a success and my father is once again able to lead his normal active lifestyle unencumbered by a catheter. The follow-up care and treatment he is receiving is also worth noting and commending.
